Don’t shudder to open the shutter! 2025 San Diego film zine wants your submissions.

Shoot your shoot by submitting your photos from 2025 to this year’s San Diego film photography zine, organized by Safelight’s very own Jameson Kelly. All formats and styles will be accepted to create a comprehensive look at our local film photography scene.

Ground Rules:

  • Submit up to three photos with film stock information (i.e. Portra 400 35mm)

  • Photos must have been taken on film in 2025

  • Photographers must be from the San Diego area, but images could have been taken anywhere in the world.

Deadline: January 31st, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.

There is no guarantee that any or all of your photos will be featured in this year’s edition, as the zine’s length determines its pricing. We will do our best to balance the zine's affordability with as many photographers as we can fit.

We’ll update the community when the zine is ready to be launched this Spring.
